Amusing to see Caravelle passing the arrester device used by all embarked Aéronavale aircraft for deck-landing qualifications of pilots...Search the hook!!!
Note the long trailing edge flaps and very low landing gear legs. Relatively to other jet transport aircraft, Caravelle was considered as a heavy glider...by some pilots.
